Project Goals and Objectives

Increase channel-floodplain connectivity; limit post-fire incision; riparian expansion.

Structure Construction Elements

We build a combination of beaver dam analogues (BDAs) and post-assisted log structures (PALS) using locally available woody material. Where the stream had easy accessibility, we used untreated wooden posts to increase the temporary stability of structures.
