2V Meadow Restoration
Project Goals and Objectives
Raise water levels in an unnatural and incised channel in a degraded meadow to support wetland vegetation.
Structure Construction Elements
We built BDAs and instream woody debris structures to raise water levels to support wetland vegetation. Woody material was obtained from an existing juniper removal project on the ranch. We built both postless and post-assisted BDAs. We also built several erosion control structures including a Zuni bowl and rock rundown which were designed by Shawn Connor.
