Restoration goals are to induce widening in an incised channel, force ponding for fish habitat, and to increase deposition post fire. Some headcuts were also arrested with the goal of reducing further incision.
A mix of BDAs and PALS were constructed using local materials within the riparian area. This included willow and fire deadened cottonwood and aspen, as well as sod material taken from the streambanks for BDAs. Several headcut arrests were also built using both willow and deadened logs. Maintenance was also performed on previously built structures, often extending bank attached PALS to become channel spanning PALS.
