Project Goals and Objectives

With incision being a major issue within this meadow, we hoped to promote aggradation, increase floodplain connectivity, and raise the water table elevation. We also wanted to increase habitat for plant and animal species, while increasing the meadows overall resiliency to droughts, fire and floods.

Structure Construction Elements

A combination of BDA, PALS and Hybrid structures were used throughout the meadow. In areas where digging was not possible, hybrid structures were used to promote similar results as BDAs.
