Our goals were to prevent headcut development and advancement, promote aggradation, increase floodplain connectivity, and raise the water table elevation. We also wanted to increase sedge production, while increasing the meadows overall resiliency to droughts, fire, floods, and active grazing.
A combination of BDA, PALS and Hybrid structures were used throughout the meadow. In areas where digging was not possible, hybrid structures were used to promote similar results as BDAs. We also implemented rock Zeedyk structures to address headcuts.
