Project Goals and Objectives
Our goals were to create a catchment at the base of the meadow and promote in-channel aggradation, arrest the large headcut and divert flow upstream to lessen further degradation, as well as forcing flows out of the channels in the eastern branch of the meadow and promote a sheetflow regime.
Structure Construction Elements
A combination of BDA, PALS and Hybrid structures were used throughout the meadow. In areas where digging was not possible, hybrid structures were used to promote similar results as BDAs.
