Project Goals and Objectives

Restore incised channel and reconnect to floodplain. Reduce fine sediment inputs for downstream spawning cutthroat. Raise water table and capture early season flows. Increase pasture productivity and wet meadow health. Improve riparian vegetation community health.

Structure Construction Elements

20 BDAs constructed with untreated posts, willow wicker weave, brush mattress, rock, and sod. BDAs were built to bankfull elevation. Beavers moved into the area immediately downstream in 2022 and completed the lower portion of the project on their own.
