In the Trust's second year at Lockwood Draw, a drainage in Coconino National Forest, volunteers built a total of 13 rock structures at 11 different sites. These rock structures slow the flow of water within stream channels and spread it out across floodplains, ultimately keeping more water in streambeds for wildlife. Over time, these structures will become more and more cemented in place by sediment and vegetation. Five volunteers completed this project in 80 hours!
