Project Goals and Objectives

Rehydration of meadow, headcut stabilization, and expansion of riparian area. This is three projects that will eventually combine directly over time with the intention of increasing infiltration. It was also combined with a partial exclosure fence and re-construction of a livestock water development.

Structure Construction Elements

The majority of structures are Zeedyke one rock dams, with a couple zuni-bowls and rock rundowns. There are also a variety of wicker weir style structures in areas that are wider and more deeply incised. These deep incisions will never fully aggrade, but our goal is to limit further down cutting and to increase ground water infiltration and reduce bare ground.
