Project Goals and Objectives
A wet meadow, aka Pool Spring, is located in West Fork Meadow Creek. West Fork Meadow creek is an interrupted drainage system that has springs/seeps located throughout. A several foot tall headcut was starting to work its way up the drainage into the wet meadow. A Zuni bowl was installed to arrest the movement of the headcut and to restore the hydraulic function of the meadow.
Structure Construction Elements
One larger Zuni bowl installed at a headcut with two one rock dams below the Zuni Bowl. A smaller Zuni bowl and one rock dam was installed in a smaller headcut upstream of the main headcut.
