The primary goal for the project is to increase the abundance of surface flow on intermittent sections Bear Creek during summer. This will provide increased quantity and quality of rearing habitat for juvenile steelhead.
BDA structures were largely built by installing post lines across the active channel and applying locally sourced willow with cobble and gravel at the base of each dam. Roughly 20 postless BDAs were also built within a ephemeral tributary near the treatment reaches.
