The goal for this project is to increase channel complexity, floodplain connectivity, and increase vegetation diversity and extent. Additionally, this project reach has current beaver activity and aims to encourage the continued efforts of existing beaver as well as increase their distribution and abundance.
BDAs were built to increase floodplain connection, increase channel diversity, support existing natural beaver dams, arrest incision, and encourage riparian vegetation expansion. Head cut treatments were applied in an incised irrigation ditch to dissipate power during high flows. Wood Jams were created to encourage bank erosion and sediment deposition.
