Brown Meadow is a very long, narrow moderate to high gradient meadow that is located east of the South Fork Kern canyon and flows north into the stream that drains Gomez Meadow which then confluences with the South Fork Kern River just upstream of the confluence with Strawberry Creek. Several priority areas were identified were large headcuts were observed. These areas were a primary focus in reducing further channel incision. In other areas objectives were to promote aggradation, sedge growth and floodplain connectivity.
A total of 208 structures were implemented consisting of 109 BDAs, 10 hybrid structures (tight PALS), 5 Log Structures, 77 PALS, and 7 Rock Structures
