This creek provides habitat to one of few remaining populations of the endangered Oregon Spotted Frog. The goal of this project was to create suitable deep water habitat to encourage the persistance of this population. Additionally the goal is to combat incision to allow more floodplain connectivity in order to increase habitat quality in the riparian areas surrounding the creek.
BDAs were constructed in order to create areas of ponding and to allow water to persist longer in this intermittent system as well as to encourage over bank flow and flood plain connectivity during periods of high flow.
