In 2023, 30 structures were implemented in Poison meadow to address headcut development and advancement, promote aggradation, increase floodplain connectivity, and raise the water table elevation. In 2024, we revisited Poison meadow and maintained and enhanced 25 structures to further our above goals.
A combination of BDA, PALS and Hybrid structures were used throughout the meadow. In areas where digging was not possible, hybrid structures were used to promote similar results as BDAs. We also implemented rock Zeedyk structures to address headcuts.
