Project Goals and Objectives

In 2023, 13 structures were implemented in Granite Knob meadow to arrest headcuts and prevent upstream migration, as well as promote instream aggradation and raise water table elevation. In 2024, we returned to maintain and enhance structures to further the above goals.

Structure Construction Elements

A combination of BDA, PALS and Hybrid structures were used throughout the meadow. In areas where digging was not possible, hybrid structures were used to promote similar results as BDAs.
