The overall goal of restoration on Couse Creek is to create a healthy and resilient riverscape that supports ecological functions and provides high quality fish habitat. Specific objectives for this project are, increase in-channel geomorphic diversity, increase the proportion of the valley bottom inundated at high flows, increase perennial surface flow extent during low flow periods, increase wetland and riparian vegetation extent, and increase abundance of beaver dams and large wood accumulations.
During phase 2, previously built structures were maintained and new PALS and BDAs were constructed.
