Project Goals and Objectives

The main goal of this project is to combat the current decline of beaver populations in this area by improving riparian and geomorphic conditions. Increasing stream complexity and floodplain connection will allow for better conditions for beaver recolonization.

Structure Construction Elements

PALS were used in the more confined sections in order to encourage erosion of incised banks and increase complexity. BDAs were used in less confined and incised areas with less geomorphic diversity in order to increase floodplain connection.
