McCartney creek is key mesic meadow brooding habitat for Washington sage grouse populations. The goal of this project is to improve riparian function in order to maintain important meadows and increase the quality of riparian habitat for several species of grouse as well as other species of wildlife.
BDAs and PALs were used in this project in the main channel to help combat heavy incision, and in the surrounding floodplain to increase quality and extent of meadow habitat.
