Boney Flat is a dry meadow, with a degrading fen towards the bottom of the meadow. The character of the site is dominated by a large headcut in the middle of the meadow, and a deeply incised channel. The process-based design will utilize on-site materials to raise the base elevation of the three tributary channels, and the main channel in the vicinity of the fen. The design includes structures in other segments of the channel and meadow to induce widening of the incision for sediment production and a long-term trend toward depositional processes leading to incised floodplain development and vegetation.
A mix of BDAs and PALS. Structures were posted with 2.5" x 8' doug fir posts.
