Increase water storage, improve stream/floodplain connection, increase beaver habitat primarily deeper water for cover, and support riparian habitat, amphibian populations, and overall biodiversity
To repair holes/breeches in historic beaver dams, we thinned conifer saplings encroaching on riparian floodplain, used de-limbed saplings as posts for BDA's in dam repair, used conifer boughs as weaving material along with local sediment, used woody debris and conifer saplings to protect structures from livestock trampling.
