Preserving and Restoring Beaver Haven
Project Goals and Objectives
Purchase, permanently protect and restore 10 acres. Install multiple BDAs and log jams to improve instream habitat for Coho Salmon, groundwater recharge and riparian vegetation abundance for beavers
Structure Construction Elements
BDAs constructed both with "lasagna method" and post and weave. Small wood jams with "chop and drop" methods. Removal of invasive weeds. Additional structures and invasive weed mnagement will take place over years.
