Project Goals and Objectives

1. Treat 2 linear stream miles with low tech process based restoration techniques to increase habitat availability, increase floodplain inundation, reverse channel incision, and reduce flow velocity and periodicity.

Structure Construction Elements

BDAs were constructed with purchased, 3.5" sharpened wooded posts that were pounded with a Montana post pounder mounted on the end of a mini excavator. Local large wood and willows were utilized to weave the BDAs and construct the PALS. Local mud and rock was used to fortify the front of the BDAs. We partnered with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Habitat program for implementation.
